1888 – March, Wiley forms the “Great Wollongong Coal Syndicate” to operate the 2000 ac property between Mt Kembla and Mt Keira with the “Great Wollongong Proprietary Coal Company Limited”. 1888 – Wiley’s Great Wollongong Proprietary Coal Co. Ltd. produced 24,500 ton in 1888 and “sank without a trace”. (DoMAR 1888)?
